Merry Christmas

Critique time, yaaaaaaaaaaay!

So, I think you did a good job overall! However, there are quite a few things in need of fixing. >u<

The hat is probably what bothers me the most about this drawing. I realize that you were probably just trying to make it obvious to the viewer that it is a Santa hat...but it just looks looks a little too unrealistic, like, anti-gravitational or something.

I think the facial shape turned out pretty good, but I'm really not understanding the light gray shading there. Next time, select a shading color that corresponds with the base and highlighting color.

The eyes look mostly good, however the catchlights (the white dot thingys) shouldn't be outlined. It makes them look a little like pupils.

The scarf doesn't look quite right, but the shading does look better! To me, the scarf seems a bit too tall. Like, if you were to remove the scarf, she's have a really long neck! See what I'm saying? ;w;

The shirt and pants don't look too bad in my opinion. However, the legs are unrealistically close together and the pants need shading. On that note, next time, try to shade the shirt more realistically. Shirts are never perfectly straight. They have creases at the bottoms and beneath a female's chest area, too.

The background looks a little bland, and the trunk of the Christmas tree is off-center, and it looks a little lopsided. Nothing that bugs me too much, though!

Overall, I think this is a very cute picture! You just need some practice and attention to the reviews you get, and you're sure to improve!
